A. Kate Margolis

Counsel

Kate is an experienced litigator who focuses on interpretation of all types of commercial liability and property insurance policies and strategy for securing coverage for policyholders when the insurer has denied coverage or reserved its rights. Kate has helped clients recover substantial insurance proceeds for property damage and business interruption from natural disasters and other catastrophes, and for defense costs, settlements and judgments in a wide variety of contexts, such as product liability, personal injury, employment, environmental, financial services, and securities claims. Kate understands that insurance coverage is one of the most valuable assets a client owns and is available to assist from the moment an insurance claim arises all the way through filing a complaint, trial and appeal, if necessary.

In addition to her insurance coverage practice, Kate counsels clients in a wide variety of commercial disputes, represents clients before state agencies, such as the Mississippi Public Service Commission and Mississippi Department of Revenue, and assists clients with federal and state applications for registration of trademarks.
