Kate is a commercial litigator experienced in all phases of civil litigation, with particular focus on insurance coverage matters for policyholders. Kate has recently assisted clients in the recovery of insurance proceeds for third-party product liability, personal injury, employment, environmental, and securities claims, as well as for first-party claims involving property damage from natural disasters and other catastrophes.

Kate also assists utility and telecommunication clients in matters before the Mississippi Public Service Commission, and advises clients regarding protection of trademarks and trade secrets. Kate has maintained an active pro bono practice in family law matters and post-conviction capital defense.
Kate was recently elected to the board of directors of the Capital Area Bar Association, and is currently serving as editor of CABA’s newsletter. She is an officer of the Mississippi Chapter of the Federal Bar Association and a member of the Mississippi Women Lawyers Association. She has previously served as a member of the Ethics Committee, Professionalism Committee, and Public Information Committee of the Mississippi Bar, as well as the board of directors of the Mississippi Bar’s Young Lawyers Division and Jackson Young Lawyers.
