Alex’s commercial litigation experience includes cases in state and federal courts across the Southeast and the Caribbean. That practice includes work in many areas, but it is particularly focused on two fields: (1) negotiation and litigation of complex insurance coverage matters; and (2) products liability. Alex has handled all stages of the litigation and dispute resolution process from initial case consultation through appeal.
Alex works with his clients to define their goals early in the process. He recognizes that a client’s desire to win a dispute must be viewed in the context of other realities, including the cost of litigation.
Alex also represents the Jackson office on the Firm’s Recruiting Committee.

Alex started his practice with an insurance coverage firm and developed his skills in the context of complex first-party and third-party coverage disputes. Alex also worked on large loss subrogation matters from initial analysis through trial. That early experience only increased his interest in insurance coverage dispute resolution. With BABC, Alex continues to focus a large share of his practice on insurance coverage dispute resolution. He assists clients from the earliest stages of the claim and works with them toward efficient resolution. When early resolution is not possible, Alex has the litigation experience to see the matter through in court.
In addition to his coverage work, a significant portion of Alex’s work relates to his role on a dedicated team of firm attorneys that serve as regional counsel for Cooper Tire & Rubber Company. Alex manages injury and wrongful death litigation across the Southeast and has experience at all stages of the process, from early investigation through trial.
Alex is currently handling cases in state and federal court in Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, and Oklahoma and has prior litigation experience in Missouri, Louisiana, South Carolina, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. He is comfortable litigating beyond Mississippi and working with local counsel as necessary to achieve the client’s goals.
