Dana C. Lumsden is a Partner in the Litigation Department of the Firm, where he is a member of both the Intellectual Property and Financial Services practice groups. He devotes a substantial portion of his practice to resolving the complex matters that arise in business litigation, including intellectual property disputes, securities and commodities litigation, investigations and enforcement proceedings, and the resolution of regulatory controversies on behalf of financial institutions.
He brings to clients the combined benefit of extensive experience in the art of trial advocacy and in-depth practical knowledge of multiple substantive disciplines.
Dana’s recent matters include the defense of financial services companies in consumer class action matters, the resolution of multi-jurisdictional mortgage servicing disputes, as well as serving as lead counsel for investigations brought by federal and state regulators of the consumer financial services industry.
Dana also devotes his time to the profession and to the community, including work for and leadership on committees for the American Bar Association, the Mecklenburg County Bar Association, the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, and the American Intellectual Property Law Association. He is active in the North Carolina Bankers Association and is President of the Board of Directors of Legal Services of Southern Piedmont.
