David Bashford is a Partner in the firm's Construction and Procurement Practice Group, as well as the firm’s Litigation Practice Group. His primary focus in on large scale public and private construction project disputes, representing owners, developers, engineers, architects, contractors, subcontractors and sureties. David has extensive experience in pursuing and defending construction claims in various state and federal courts, as well as in mediation and arbitration. Additionally, David works with a number of clients in drafting, structuring and negotiating a broad range of construction contracts in an effort to mitigate each client’s risk and exposure in an effort to avoid unnecessary disputes. David also provides in house and public lectures on topics including North Carolina and federal construction law, construction contract drafting and negotiation, alternative dispute resolution, and practical construction project documentation.
