Doug's practice focuses primarily on strategic international and domestic public and private merger and acquisition transactions, including advising public and private companies in the healthcare industry. Doug’s clients also include a broad range of publicly and privately owned U.S. and foreign companies and Doug has been involved in numerous significant acquisitions, mergers, joint ventures, divestitures, investments and other corporate finance matters involving hospital systems, ambulatory surgery centers and laboratories.
Doug earned his law degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Tennessee in May 2006. During law school, Doug was a staff member of Transactions: The Journal of Tennessee Business Law. He received his undergraduate degree in History, with honors, with a minor in Spanish, from Davidson College in 2002. Prior to joining the firm, Doug worked as a corporate associate in Atlanta, Georgia and overseas in Bangkok, Thailand for a multinational, U.S. based law firm.
