Sims is an associate in the firm’s Birmingham office and is a member of the Tax Practice Group. His practice focuses primarily on the areas of federal and state and local taxation. While attending Cumberland School of Law, Sims was the writing editor of the Cumberland Law Review, the chair of the Cordell Hull Speakers Forum, and a Judge Abraham Caruthers Fellow. After graduating from Cumberland, Sims received his LL.M. in taxation from New York University School of Law. Prior to law school, Sims received his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of North Florida and his Master of Accountancy from the University of Florida.
