Jeff Allen joined the firm in 2008 and is an Associate in the Litigation Practice Group. He assists with a wide range of business litigation matters on behalf of the firm’s corporate and individual clients, with an emphasis on entertainment and intellectual property litigation. Jeff has handled a number of cases involving personal management contract, songwriting contract, and complex royalty disputes in the entertainment industry. He has also handled litigation involving copyright termination, copyright infringement, trademark disputes, and false advertising claims. Jeff has also drafted copyright transfer and assignment agreements and has negotiated distribution agreements for entertainment industry clients.

Aside from his breadth of experience practicing entertainment law, Jeff also has a variety of experience in matters involving business debt collection, medical malpractice and hospital liability, and labor and employment disputes. He has also helped prepare and give several presentations to outside counsel and law students on copyright litigation.
Jeff earned his law degree, cum laude, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in December 2007. While working on his law degree, he served as Senior Research Editor of the Florida Law Review. He received his undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, in Anthropology from Vanderbilt University in 2002. Prior to law school, Jeff worked as an Honors Paralegal Specialist at the Federal Trade Commission’s Bureau of Consumer Protection in Washington, D.C.
