Kevin Mattingly focuses his practice primarily on the defense of manufacturers, distributors, and retailers involved in complex product liability, mass tort, and class action litigation. In addition, Mr. Mattingly represents real estate clients in indoor environmental quality litigation and financial services clients in consumer finance and commercial litigation. His experience includes all stages of litigation practice, from pre-trial discovery to representation of clients before the courts to post-trial motions. Mr. Mattingly also has co-authored several appellate briefs on behalf of clients, filed in the United States Supreme Court, the Maryland Court of Appeals, and the Maryland Court of Special Appeals.

In addition to his litigation work, Mr. Mattingly advises product manufacturers with regard to various federal regulatory compliance issues. As part of this area of his practice, Mr. Mattingly helps product manufacturers by addressing their concerns related to the new Consumer Product Safety Commission Consumer Complaint Database. Mr. Mattingly assists clients with resolving disputes surrounding consumer complaints before they can be made public, and counsels clients on preparing for an avoiding the filing of consumer complaints with the CPSC in the first place. Mr. Mattingly also provides pro bono legal services to homeless individuals recovering from alcohol and drug addiction as part of a partnership with a mission program located in Baltimore, Maryland.
