Martha Boyd practices labor and employment law and employee benefits litigation. She has represented employers in all types of litigation in state and federal courts, including successfully defending employment discrimination claims under Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family Medical Leave Act and other state and federal statutes, and enforcing noncompetition agreements. Martha counsels employers in the handling of day-to-day human resources issues to assist them in assessing and reducing risk associated with personnel decisions and policy implementation. Martha’s traditional labor experience includes representing employers in labor arbitrations and NLRB investigations and conducting union avoidance training for supervisors.

Martha is a former Major in the United States Army Reserves. She served for six years on active duty as a Military Intelligence officer, with assignments in Germany and Maryland. Martha continued her service in the Reserves, serving as a Civil Affairs officer with the 350th Civil Affairs Command in Baghdad, Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
