Mike Denniston's practice focuses on advising clients concerning antitrust and competition law, and intellectual property issues, as well as litigating those issues. His practice spans the breadth of the antitrust and intellectual property arena. His antitrust practice encompasses not only litigation and advising work, but also working with our corporate practice group on merger analysis and preparing transactions for premerger review pursuant to the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act.

In addition to screening and negotiating agreements respecting trademarks and copyrights, he has an active trial practice in those areas. His litigation experience ranges from prosecuting and defending requests for temporary restraining orders to handling complex multiparty and multidistrict copyright litigation.

Mike works closely with our corporate and securities practice group on premerger advising and notification pursuant to the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act. Transactions on which he has provided advice and counsel range from transactions that are not likely to be challenged and in which the agency grants Early Termination to transactions with potential antitrust risk which require detailed engagement of and negotiations with the FTC and Department of Justice.
