Paul is national counsel for the CNO Financial and represents other insurance companies regionally including Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama and Lafayette Life Insurance Company. Paul has defended insurance companies in multi-million dollar agent damage cases, class action and mass actions, handled multi-jurisdiction litigation of opt-outs from a nationwide class settlement and resolved coverage disputes. Addressing a wide array of matters from fraud to complex insurance class action cases, Paul applies his deep understanding, practical experience, and skillful litigation strategies to effectively and efficiently protect his clients’ interests. Recently, Paul litigated and successfully settled during trial two agent dispute cases against client Massachusetts General Life Insurance Company in Federal Courts in Indiana and South Carolina, defeated class certification of a nationwide class in a sales practices matter against Philadelphia Life Insurance Company pending in Orlando, Florida Federal Court, and successfully represented a major malpractice carrier before the Alabama Department of Insurance.
