David's for-profit clients range in size from privately-held startups to Fortune 500 companies. While these clients have numerous legislative and administrative issues of concern, David's representation has focused on energy, transportation, international trade, health care, immigration, manufacturing, homeland security, workforce, and economic development issues. David also has developed extensive experience in representing non-profit entities, particularly municipalities and educational institutions, seeking federal and state appropriations. As part of this representation, he also provides economic development advice to clients.
David’s community activities include serving as the past chairman of the Governmental Affairs Committee of the Birmingham Regional Chamber of Commerce (now the Birmingham Business Alliance) and as the president of the Birmingham Alumni Chapter for Washington and Lee University. David currently serves on the Board of the ACE Mentor Program of Alabama.
