Her practice reflects Huntsville’s nationally-recognized technology community, where she handles cyber security matters and works with federal contractors and technology development and research projects.

She regularly advises clients regarding ITAR and commercial export matters and regulatory compliance in cross-border and international transactions, including technology export, CFIUS, BEA, and AFIDA filing requirements and anti-corruption matters.

Revelle Gwyn’s broad experience spans technology acquisition, disposition, licensing, and collaborative development and research activities, as well as international technology transfer and cross-border transactions (such as joint ventures in Europe and China). These transactions involve both basic and applied research projects conducted emerging enterprises, mature companies, and research institutions.

Revelle Gwyn is a founding member of Cyber Huntsville (and its predecessor the Tennessee Valley Cyber Development Initiative and the Mayor of Huntsville Cyber Task Force). Cyber Huntsville, a non-profit corporation, focuses on research, design, and engineering and related technical requirement, integration standards, and work force education and training, including national and regional cyber security and critical infrastructure protection and resilience. Its technical conferences, table-top exercises, and middle and high school education programs are unique in the southeast.

For more than two decades, Revelle Gwyn has engaged in the rescue and renovation of historic 18th and 19th century structures in North Carolina, Virginia, and Alabama, including an award-winning 19th century Gothic-Italianate townhouse in Huntsville. She also is an avid gardener and revels in all things Madeira and the historic wine’s viticulture.
