Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP is pleased to announce it has awarded one of its 2011 diversity scholarships to TaCara D. Harris, a first-year student at Vanderbilt University Law School. Ms. Harris will receive a $5,000 scholarship and a clerkship with the firm this coming summer.

The Law Firm of Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP (“BABC”) will provide paid internships to enhance the education of well-qualified college students who are aspiring attorneys from backgrounds traditionally underrepresented in the legal profession. BABC will select college students to participate in the Diversity Internship Program (“Internship Program”), a four- to six-week program during the summer of 2012.
The deadline for applying for the Internship Program is February 29, 2012. Applicants who are interested in the Internship Program should submit an application, resumé, official high school and college transcript, two letters of recommendation (optional) and a personal statement (limited to 750 words) discussing (a) the importance of diversity in the legal profession and (b) the way(s) in which the applicant’s participation in the Internship Program would further BABC’s desire to improve diversity in the legal profession. In addition, the personal statement may also be used to apprise BABC of any personal, work or other circumstances that the applicant believes BABC should consider.
