Represented an American firm against a Kuwaiti subcontractor involving Iraq war logistical support in ICDR proceeding.
Represented general contractor in claim in arbitration in Cairo, Egypt against Egyptian Electrical Agency arising out of construction of power plant in Egypt. Award for contractor.
Tried a confidential arbitration for a Japanese multi-national corporation in an international dispute involving the design and construction of a power plant in South America.
Represented major distributor of musical instruments in arbitration arising out of its termination of its German Distributor.
Represented general contractor consortium as claimant in ICC arbitration against owner regarding construction of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) pipeline in Mexico. Contractor had multi-million dollar claims; owner had multi-million dollar counterclaims. After two weeks of hearings in Mexico City, award issued for substantial net recovery by contractor.
In ICC arbitration in London, represented the owner of a process chemical plant in a multi-million dollar suit against several design and construction entities for property damage and business interruption losses resulting from a fire and explosion at the plant. Settled favorably after five days of hearings.
Represented general contractor in connection with a Singapore arbitration against the owner arising out of a petroleum tank farm in Thailand. Settled favorably.
Successfully prosecuted London arbitration against a Bermuda-based insurance company over the meaning of specialized policy terms (maintenance of deductible and batch clause).
