Drawing from years of service with state regulatory agencies, Richard Roberson’s health care practice is focused in the areas of state and federal compliance. Prior to joining the firm, Richard Roberson served as Special Assistant to the Executive Director with the Office of the Governor, Division of Medicaid for the State of Mississippi where he had direct oversight of Third Party Recovery, Program Integrity and Compliance, and Financial Reporting and was primarily responsible for the enforcement of agency polices and ensuring provider compliance with federal and state rules regarding reimbursement and Medicaid claims payment.

Before holding that position, Richard served as Chief General Counsel for the Office of the Governor, Division of Medicaid, where he had primary responsibility for advising the agency in contract development, management, and compliance; state and federal regulatory issues; policy development and strategic planning; and, representation of the agency in administrative hearings and litigation. Richard also formerly held the positions of Mississippi Special Assistant Attorney General and Senior Policy Research Analyst with the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
