Rod Clement’s practice is concentrated in commercial real estate and secured transactions. He regularly represents developers of shopping centers industrial facilities and office developments and borrowers, lenders and title insurers in secured financings. He also has extensive experience with retail, health care, industrial office leases and commercial properties. Projects he has worked on recently include financing renovation of historic facilities, purchasing of telecommunications systems, financing development of natural resources and renewable energy projects, and foreclosures of shopping centers, apartment complexes, office buildings, power plants and golf course communities.

Rod is a member of the Board of Governors and the Executive Committee of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers and former member of the Board of Regents of the American College of Mortgage Attorneys He also has recently served as ABA representative to the Joint Editorial Board for Uniform Real Property Acts and Vice-Chair of the Real Estate Financing Group of the ABA's Section of Real Property, Trusts and Estates.

Best Lawyers named Rod Clement as "Lawyer of the Year" in Real Estate Law for 2011 and "Lawyer of the Year" in Land Use and Zoning Law for 2013 in Jackson, Mississippi. He is the only person chosen in real estate in Mississippi. Rod also is listed in Mid-South Super Lawyers as one of the top 50 lawyers in Mississippi.
