Wendell Cauley’s practice focuses on energy and telecommunications matters. Wendell advises a municipal electric joint-action agency, natural gas gathering companies and distribution companies, independent electric power producers, competitive local exchange carriers, wireless telecommunications carriers, independent local exchange companies and other energy and telecommunications companies on a broad range of business and regulatory matters. Wendell has participated in proceedings before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, Federal Communications Commission and Alabama Public Service Commission. He has extensive experience in electric, gas and telecommunications rate cases, applications for certificates of public convenience and necessity and other regulatory proceedings. Wendell also has extensive experience in independent power project development. He has represented energy and telecommunications clients in numerous regulatory proceedings and litigation, and also has advised many of these clients in tax matters relating to their specific industries or activities.
