JAMS arbitration matter In a dispute between a national beverage producer and a former statewide distributor that had been terminated, obtained dismissal at an early stage of a number of the claimants’ claims. The case was then tried to an arbitrator over a four-day hearing in Virginia. American Arbitration Association matter Defended global manufacturer in water meter industry that had terminated its longtime Michigan distributor. Shortly after the termination was effective, our client appointed as its new distributor a company formed by several former employees of former distributor. Former distributor brought suit in Michigan state court and we successfully moved to compel arbitration.
