We also prepared, prosecuted, and obtained U.S. patent protection for many inventions relating to mechanical automotive parts. We counsel the client regarding branding and trademark protection and filed and procured domestic trademark protection for the client’s marks.

      Bradley attorneys assisted a leading athletic apparel and equipment company in numerous patent prosecution, counseling, and litigation matters. Bradley manages an international patent portfolio of over 200 patents and applications in Europe, Asia, and North America relating to sporting goods and technological applications relating to data acquisition and performance. Recent issued patents that involve representative work of the portfolio include US 10,076,685, 10,029,154, 9,940,600, 9,808,702, and D806,401. Bradley attorneys assisted with technology licensing, collaboration, and joint venture agreements. In September 2017, Bradley attorneys resolved a six-year-old patent infringement suit brought against the client by a competitor in the basketball systems market. The case proceeded in multiple jurisdictions in parallel, including the U.S. District Court for the District of Utah, the USPTO in inter partes reexamination proceedings for three patents, and at the U.S. International Trade Commission. Matters litigated included invalidity, noninfringement, and inequitable conduct. The case settled on confidential terms.
